Gabriella Moreno is a queer, latine artist whose practice uses the erotic as a lens to probe entanglements of gender, power, and desire. She has exhibited in New York and throughout the Midwest. Recent solo exhibitions include Permisser at Mimo Gallery (Brooklyn, NY), Playline III. at the Flatiron Project Space (New York, NY),and How the Threads of my Animal Unravel to You at Underscore (Milwaukee, WI). Recent two person and group exhibitions include Elevated Embrace at GHOSTMACHINE(New York, NY), The Future is Not Binary at Denison Museum (Granville, OH) and In Absentia at the NY Studio School Project Space (Brooklyn, NY). Additionally, she has exhibited at The Border Project Space (Brooklyn, NY), The Dream Clinic (Columbus, OH), and Olympia (New York, NY).
Moreno was a recipient of a Greater Columbus Arts Council Funds for Artists Grant in 2023 and 2024, and, she earned an Alumni Grant for Graduate Research and Scholarship from The Ohio State University in 2023. Last year she attended Shandaken Projects at Storm King Art Center (New Windsor, NY). Moreno has a BFA in Visual and Critical Studies from the School of Visual Arts, where she was awarded the Silas H. Rhodes Scholarship, and received an MFA in Studio Art from The Ohio State University, where she was awarded the Dean’s Enrichment Fellowship.
