Gabriella Moreno is a queer, latine artist whose practice uses the erotic as a lens to probe entanglements of gender, power, and queer desire. She has exhibited in New York, Milwaukee and Columbus. Recent exhibitions include a solo, “How the Threads of my Animal Unravel to You,” at Underscore (Milwaukee, WI), and “In Absentia” at the NY Studio School Project Space (Brooklyn, NY). Additionally, she has exhibited at The Border Project Space (Brooklyn, NY), The Dream Clinic (Columbus, OH), and Olympia (New York, NY). This upcoming November she will present a solo show with Mimo Gallery (Brooklyn, NY).
Moreno was a recipient of a Greater Columbus Arts Council Funds for Artists Grant in 2023 and 2024, and, she earned an Alumni Grant for Graduate Research and Scholarship from The Ohio State University in 2023. She will attend Shandaken Projects at Storm King Art Center (New Windsor, NY) in August 2024. Moreno has a BFA in Visual and Critical Studies from the School of Visual Arts, where she was awarded the Silas H. Rhodes Scholarship, and received an MFA in Studio Art from The Ohio State University, where she was awarded the Dean’s Enrichment Fellowship.
